Bachelor of Rural Development focus on strengthening rural economies and social structures to promote financial independence and improved quality of life for rural communities. The program is design to prepare students and professionals to understand, evaluate, and apply economic and business practices to empower rural communities to build a healthy and sustainable economy. 

 

RCST's Bachelor of Rural Development program is a top-up accelerated study for accomplished professionals that are working in the fields of Rural Development and Management specially on rural communities support, social integration, understanding public policies on environment, agriculture and natural resources.

 

The program will familiarize students with key issues of Rural Development through practical focus on environmental issues and management, economics and trade, challenges of rural society, law and governance, healthcare and disease prevention, and information management. Program Structure and Content

 

Bachelor of Rural Development program structure and content listed below is based on assumption that the candidate would have completed undergraduate studies with at least 90 ECTS-Credits, and have earned Diploma, Certificates, Associate Degree or equivalents qualifications from recognised university and training institutions. Candidate that possessed higher qualifications above 90 ECTS-Credits will be granted further transferable credits, similarly, candidates with less transfer credits will be assigned additional courses

Bachelor Degree Requirements

 

Bachelor degree requires successful completion of minimum 180 ECTS-Credits (European Credits Transfer System) including applicable Transferred Credits. Student performance will be measure against acceptable overall academic achievements.  The Total Cumulative Credits of 180-ECTS required can be achieved through the combination of Learning Groups listed below  (pending total credits transferred into the program)

Graduation Credits Required

 

Accelerated Bachelor of Rural Development degree requires successful completion of 80-ECTS (European Credits Transfer System); the completed 80-units will be recorded as part of Total Cumulative Credits of 180-ECTS required for Bachelor degree graduation including applicable transfer credits. Student performance will be measure against acceptable overall academic achievements

 

Special Admission Requirements

  Applicant must be at least 25-years old

  Completed at least 2-years of Undergraduate programs above High School Education

  Possess Undergraduate Diploma or equivalent from recognised institution

  Minimum 1-year of relevant working experience in Rural Community or Civil Services etc

  Adults with lesser qualification but posses years' of experience will also be consider
